In 1996 when Pet Fit Resort first began its journey in the pet care industry it was the brain child of Lloyd Mosher and there were no pet lodging options like it in the Lexington area. Pet-Fit was designed by professionals in the pet industry for dogs and cats with careful planning and consideration to the needs of the family pet. The intention was to offer something other than just the ordinary boarding kennel. Today, with careful planning and timely improvements, we as the new owners, plan to do something special…. To set a new standard in pet care.
The resort was planned with state of the art technology this includes a climate controlled environment with air exchange and purification systems. Each dog has its own suite. The boarding area was designed with comfort, security and peace of mind for each guest foremost in the plans. Suites are designed so that guest have the optimal amount of privacy… that and sound dampening materials allow for a quiet and peaceful stay for the pampered and loved guests of Pet-Fit. Each pet is taken out to spacious individual yards four times daily for exercise and business breaks. Pet-Fit provides a high quality natural pet food for your pets; however you may provide your own pet food if you desire to do so.
Pet-Fit offers a serene and tranquil resort setting on 31+ acres in the heart of the Lexington horse country. The resort offers special services such as; Nature Walks, Nature Stroll, and Fetch and Playtime. We also offer Love Pats, Snack Biscuits, Bedtime Tuck In Treats, and The Frosty Kong Treat. Dogs that pass the temperament test can participate in Play Groups with other guest of similar size, age and temperament during daycare. The pick-up and delivery service is a much appreciated option as well.
Our retail area offers the highest quality of natural pet food offered in the industry as well as many specialty items for your pet to enjoy at home.
If you have a special need such as Training, Basic Obedience, Advance
Problem Solving, Breed Selection Matching Service, Retail Merchandise, Grooming or other needs that is
not covered in our current program please ask, we are always anxious to try and accommodate our guest
special needs and add services if there is enough interest.

16 years experience working with animals of all kinds inclusive of a professional in the horse business for
10 years.

County, AL Sheriff’s office, Mercy Medical and the Southwest Law Enforcement Academy, Training
for Personal Protection Dogs and Training dogs at a National Tracking and Trailing level since 2006.
As a reserve Officer for a local police department, Heath Mosley is also certified in the following areas:
K-9 Handler, Narcotics Detector Handler, Narcotics Detection Training and Narcotic K-9’s.

Staff: Michele Mosley - Assistant Manager
10 years experience working with animals of all kinds. Vet technician for 2 years, 4-H Club Member, Certified Training in nutrition for horses and
poultry, Training in Germany for Equine Management, Managing feed of a Poultry Farm and training in
Bio-Hazards at a Poultry Farm.
Heath and Michele are the owners of Vom Haus Mosley Kennels and own a working line of German
Sheppard’s. They have resources available to provide training for personal protection and Schutzhund
Training of all levels. |
